8th North American Masonry Conference
The Masonry Society (TMS) recently announced the Eighth North American Masonry Conference, scheduled for June 6 - 9, 1999, in Austin, Texas. At the time of the announcement a call for papers was issued, abstracts of which were due by June 15, 1998, covering the following areas:
Conventional engineering papers (materials analysis,
design, experiment, or performance)
Conventional architectural papers (history, performance,
details, life-cycle costing, sustainability, or quality)
Presentation of award-winning architectural designs
Presentations of successful projects by teams of architects,
engineers and contractors
Theme sessions on issues of interest to engineers, architects,
and contractors
The Conference, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, is sponsored by The Masonry Society and related industry organizations, and will be hosted by the University of Texas at Austin, College of Engineering, School of Architecture.
Proceedings of the Conference will be distributed on searchable CD-ROM and will also be available in printed form at the Conference.
