Conference & EXPO Registration Offer Early Bird Savings

Words: Rachel KrantzThe 1999 MCAA Conference & MASONRY EXPO registration brochure has been mailed and will once again offer significant cost savings to members who register early. Those members who send their registrations by November 4th will save as much as $100 on their registration.

As in past years, members will still find package registration prices which offer additional savings in their registration costs. New this year is the introduction of children pricing on some events. Since programs such as a reception at Sea World, a banquet at Universal Studios and an optional trip to the Kennedy Space Center were offered, members showed strong interest in bringing their children to Orlando prompting a slight break to the children attendees.

Touted as one of the best programs ever, the additions of Sea World and Universal Studios has created a strong interest in this year's program. According to MCAA Staff, calls to the office inquiring into registration materials had started in mid August, the earliest it has ever been. Member's concerns about taking their children out of school for a day or two have also been addressed with the educational aspects of events such as a day long tour to the Kennedy Space Center and a tour of Florida's Wetlands and gator country aboard an airboat. Many members are finding it acceptable to take their children out of school with the strong line up of educational programs offered.

The number of exhibits sold have already surpassed the show recently held in Charlotte which will offer contractors stronger comparison for product and equipment. Even the educational workshops have been expanded and enhanced from last year.
