Cancun Site For Mid-Year Meeting

Words: Michael SchmerbeckThe 1999 MCAA Mid-Year Meeting will be held at the Ritz Carlton Resort in Cancun, Mexico on September 9-11. MCAA Committees and Board will meet to review all association activities. The Nominating Committee will also present their recommendations for Senior Officer and Regional Vice President positions.

Attendance at previous Mid-Year Meetings has steadily grown as members discovered that they are encouraged and welcomed to attend. In addition, Mid-Year meetings have expanded to include exciting programs. ?Last year, we had nearly eighty MCAA members attend the Mid-Year in Chicago where members enjoyed a dinner boat cruise and ball game at Wrigley Field,? said MCAA Director of Meetings and Conventions, Rachel Young. ?We are nearly completed with the program for Cancun. One of the highlights already planned is a jeep road rally and welcome reception. We think the members who attend will have an equally as good a time as they did in Chicago,? said Young.

Members will be receiving the registration brochure soon. Everyone is encouraged to book their air transportation now since airline rates are competitive. Plan to arrive in Cancun by noon on Thursday so you won?t miss any of the exciting programs being planned.

For further details, contact Rachel Young at the MCAA office.
