The Region A Masonry Skills Challenge

The Region A Masonry Skills Challenge was held October 4th in Winchester, Virginia at the Supreme Block Plant. There were 18 apprentices competing this year and the winners are for 1st year Luis Aragon LF Jennings Masonry, 2nd year Conrado Ramirez LF Jennings Masonry and 3rd year Salvador Belmontes KaRon Masonry. They each took home a check for $500.00 and will be competing in Las Vegas next March at the National Finals.I would like to thank the sponsors of this event, Spec-Mix supplied Mortar and silo and mixer man Ryan Coyne, Supreme Concrete Block (Don Wendell Host) Supplied all CMU and Catered the Lunch, LC Smith Brick and Potomac Valley Brick supplied prizes of tools, Judges Lynne Dewitt w/LC Smith Brick, Dean Orcini w/Betco Block and Camillo DeCamillo w/Long Masonry.
