Schools Out for Summer (Almost)!

Words: Melissa AguiarYear One of MCAA's High School Recruitment Campaign has exceeded our expectations, and now over 600 high schools across the country have information for their students about masonry careers! Every school that requested our program in Arizona, Connecticut, Washington DC, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maine, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Vermont have been sponsored and have received our introductory materials. 'Thank you' to our generous members, suppliers, and affiliate associations for supporting our efforts in this important Workforce Development initiative.

The effort continues, and we still need sponsors in the 33 states that have not been completed. Please speak with your suppliers and local associations about our program, and consider sponsoring the schools in your state. The plan for Year Two of our campaign is to arrange a career day visitor at each school in the program. Contact MCAA if you are willing to donate your time to attend a local school and present to a classroom of eager future journeymen!
