Quikrete to Sponsor Fastest Trowel

Words: Dan Kamys/Public/News/372005819.gif" width="325" height="155" border="0" align="right" hspace="10" vspace="1"> The Mason Contractors Association of America announced on Friday, February 18th that Quikrete will become the new sponsor for the Association's "Fastest Trowel on the Block" competition to be held at Masonry Showcase co-located at Construct America? in Chicago. This year's competition will be enhanced with over 5,000 architects and specifiers having the opportunity to watch the industries fastest masons.

"Our competition was designed to place a focus on the benefits of a highly trained workforce," said MCAA Executive Director, Michael Adelizzi. "This year, not only will it have that same significance to the industry, but it will be an event to show the quality of our workforce to our industry customers."

Quikrete will provide an enhanced presence for the event with greater promotion of the contest along with an increase in funding over past years, which will allow the Association to upgrade the quality of the Fastest Trowel program.

The event will take place in Chicago on Friday, April 22nd beginning at 9:00 a.m. in McCormick Place Convention Center North Hall.
