Atlas Copco Announces Appointments for Regional Sales

Words: Dan KamysAtlas Copco Construction Tools Inc. announced the appointments of Rich Elliott, Richie Rose and Tim Hesskew to new regional sales territories, as well as the hiring of Todd Francis as regional sales manager.

In his new position as regional sales manager for hydraulic attachments, Elliott will work with dealer salespersons to increase sales and awareness of Atlas Copco products. Elliott's territory will include Ohio, Michigan, western New York, central and western Pennsylvania, and northern Kentucky.

Elliott was Atlas Copco's eastern region service manager for the past two years, during which time he covered all territory east of the Mississippi. Prior to joining Atlas Copco, Elliott was a regional service manager for Allied Construction Products.

Rose's new territory will include Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. In his new regional sales manager position, Rose will work to increase business across the expansive territory through sales collaboration with distributors, as well as arranging meetings and equipment demonstrations for potential customers.

Rose originally spent eight years working for Atlas Copco in South Africa, first as a sales representative and then as national distribution manager for Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean region. In 2001, Rose moved to the United States and spent four years as Atlas Copco's regional sales manager covering Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. Rose holds the equivalent of a business degree in administration.

Hesskew will cover Texas and Oklahoma in his new position as regional sales manager for hydraulic attachments. Hesskew will work to establish a broader customer base with end users across the territory.

Hesskew has served as the internal sales/service coordinator and as service center manager in Atlas Copco's Texas service center since joining the company in 2003. Hesskew previously worked for a Komatsu Equipment dealer as a field service technician.

As a new regional sales manager, Francis will work to enhance the relationships with Atlas Copco's network of equipment dealers, as well as establish connections with new dealers. Francis will be responsible for sales of the entire Atlas Copco product line. The territory that Francis will cover includes Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and western Kentucky.

Francis has extensive experience in construction sales. Prior to joining Atlas Copco, Francis spent two years as a factory representative in the Rammer division of Sandvik Mining and Construction.
