Making phone calls is one way you can get involved to help elect the candidates you support.

With only a few days left until the mid-term elections there are a variety of ways in which all of you can get involved to help elect the candidates you support. There are a number of races around the country that are to close to call and I know candidates would be grateful for any support you as MCAA members could give. These last days leading up to the election are the most critical.

Each of you has a very important race in your home state and each of your individual Congressional Districts. MCAA has done our part in Washington to support those candidates who understand issues facing the masonry industry by making contributions to their campaign funds from MAC PAC. However, there are ways that you can get involved that won't take much effort and will take very little time. Getting involved with the candidate provides a unique opportunity for you to educate the candidate about the Masonry industry and to help them understand issues concerning you and your everyday business operations.

I have been contacted by various campaigns asking for help with everything from putting up yard signs, to handing out flyers, to helping move the large wooden signs and assist in putting those up. Below are a few ways you can get involved and help your candidate of choice.

  • Delivering yard signs
  • Putting a sign in your yard or window
  • Making phone calls
  • Neighborhood campaigning
  • Helping out at the campaign office
  • Put a bumper sticker on your car
  • Work the polls on election day
If you are interested in helping a candidate in your area and are unsure of how to do that, please let me know and I will assist you. In addition, if you are already helping with a campaign, please send me an email and let me know. We would like to let those candidates know that they have the support of MCAA as well.
