Thin Brick by Owensboro Completes Modernization of Historic Plant

Words: Kaveh AbabyThin Brick by Owensboro Inc. announced that the technological overhaul of its historic 40,000-square-foot manufacturing plant is now complete, with an additional kiln, a new automated clay grinder and delivery system, and a new corporate headquarters building.

The new additions to the 45-year-old family business have helped Thin Brick by Owensboro more than double the capacity of production. Key to the expansion success was the ability to implement changes to the traditional brick manufacturing process without suffering reduced quality with the company's signature old-world style decorative bricks. The renovation enables the company to also retain its flexibility and time-to-market commitments, while still offering unique services including color-matching and custom panel brick configurations.
