Acme Brick Celebrates 117th Birthday

Words: Artisan Tile companyAcme Brick Co. recently gave its employees a clear view of the company’s 117-year history as the company celebrated its birthday April 17. On that day, each of Acme’s 2800 employees received a “birthday present” of four clear tumbler glasses, each bearing a different photographic image of an event in Acme’s history. Acme was established April 17, 1891, near Weatherford, Texas.

“We’re taking this occasion of Acme’s birthday to remind everyone in our company about Acme’s history and heritage,” said Dennis Knautz, president and chief executive officer.

The gift is also intended to be an element of Acme’s ongoing Wellness Program. Recent medical research indicates that most people do not drink enough water. Acme’s management expects that the tumblers will remind their employees of the importance of good health and the company’s Wellness Program.

“Quality products are critical to Acme’s success, and our employees are our most important asset in producing these products,” said Knautz. “It is our hope that Acme employees will raise these glasses often to good health and to the future success of our company.”
