MAC PAC Reception Hosting Former Las Vegas Congressman Jon Porter

Words: Jeff BuczkiewiczThe MAC PAC is pleased to announce that former Las Vegas Congressman Jon Porter will be our featured guest speaker at our reception Tuesday, February 3 in Las Vegas Nevada (room 2401 Veronese Ballroom Casino Level, Venetian Hotel). Mr. Porter is in the process of exploring a run against current Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid when he is up for re-election in 2010. Mr. Porter served as the Congressman from Las Vegas since 2002 and before that he served as a State Senator for eight years and was the Mayor of Boulder City, NV for four years.

We invite you and a guest to this reception. There is no defined donation amount for the MAC PAC entrance, but a minimum donation of $150 per person is customary and anything above that amount goes directly to support MAC PAC activities throughout the year. Please consider giving more as the MAC PAC is only as effective as the support it receives from our members. The MAC PAC also plans to roll out plans for the new MAC PAC insider newsletter provided quarterly only to MAC PAC supporters. As a supporter you will gain the inside track from the MCAA lobbyists on a variety of issues affecting our industry and it will help you keep your finger on the pulse of what is happening in Washington DC. The news provided in the newsletter will only be available to MAC PAC supporters, so make sure you become a MAC PAC insider today.

If you are attending the MCAA convention in Las Vegas this year we welcome you at the MAC PAC reception from 5:00 pm — 6:00 pm Tuesday evening in room 2401 at the Venetian. We would encourage you to pre-register for the event with the MCAA office the week before the event. You can bring your check with you that evening and avoid filling out the paperwork on site.

If you are unable to attend the convention but would still like to support the MAC PAC, please feel free to download and complete the MAC PAC Contribution Form and download and complete the MAC PAC Authorization Form and mail the form and check back to the MCAA office. If you choose to support with a credit card, you may fax your completed form back to the MCAA office at 847-301-1110. The MAC PAC accepts personal checks or personal credit cards. Corporate donations are accepted, but can only be used to offset administrative costs of the PAC and can not be given to support masonry friendly candidates of the PAC. We thank you in advance for any support you can provide. Our PAC will be extremely important the next few years as there has been a change in the administration and the make-up of Congress.
