In naming the JLG® G5-18A super compact telehandler and LiftPod® personal and portable aerial work platform as “Top 100 Products of 2008”, Construction Equipment stated, “We are committed to honoring products that represent new concepts, engineering evolution and healthy competition in the market.” Plant Engineering called the JLG LiftPod “the manufacturing industry standard for new product achievement” when naming it “Product of the Year.” When Compact Equipment included the JLG G5-18A telehandler in their “2008 Innovations Showcase” they stated that these products “highlight the best tools and equipment released in the compact equipment industry this past year.”

In their “2008 Innovative Product Awards,” Rental Equipment Register named JLG’s LiftPod personal and portable aerial work platform the Category Winner in “Aerial Lifts” and the Grand Award winner for most innovative product of 2008. They also named JLG’s AccuPlace® System with Ride Control Technology as their “Technology Enhancements” Category Winner.

Roads & Bridges announced the results of their annual “Contractor’s Choice Awards”, where, for the third year in a row, JLG products received the Gold award in the “Aerial Work Platforms” category. This year however, JLG received both the Gold and Silver awards in the “Aerial Work Platforms” category, plus the Gold and Bronze awards in the “Telehandlers” category.
