Estate Tax Movement

By

The House has passed estate tax reform which would make the estate tax permanent and would impose a $3.5 million exemption and the top tax rate would be 45%.

The MCAA is looking to try to change the results in the Senate and is asking members and the people within their firms to write letters to their Senators requesting a $5 million dollar exemption and a top tax rate of 35%. Download a sample letter that can be sent to your state's Senate leaders that requests they consider these new levels.

If you need your Senators' mailing address or e-mail address (e-mail is preferred), please refer to the MCAA website's Contact Congress section.
