Each year, the Mason Contractors Association of America presents the C. DeWitt Brown Leadman Award to an individual who has provided exemplary leadership in advancing the masonry industry. All of the individuals who have received this prestigious award have demonstrated a tireless dedication to our industry through years of volunteer support and hard work. They have helped to ensure that our industry remains vital for the nearly 500,000 people employed through masonry.

MCAA President Mackie Bounds presented the 2011 C. DeWitt Brown Leadman Award to Tom Daniel of GBC Concrete & Masonry in Lake Elsinore, Calif. during the MCAA Annual Meeting at the 2011 MCAA Convention in Las Vegas, Nev.

“The individual that we honor here today has served and been a leader in the masonry industry for several years.”

Tom Daniel has worked in the masonry industry since the 1980s and has been a member of the Mason Contractors Association of America for more than fifteen years. During that time, he has volunteered countless hours for the association and the masonry industry locally in California and on the national scale. Daniel spent eight years on the MCAA Executive Board, including two years as President from 2008-2010.

“It is my honor and pleasure to present the 2011 C. DeWitt Brown Leadman Award to Tom Daniel,” said Bounds.
