After two and a half years as president of Houston-based Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA), Mr. Shigeru Tanemura will be returning to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) General Machinery and Special Vehicle Headquarters in a new role as part of the global forklift business team in Sagamihara, Japan. Mr. Hiroshi Nagai has been named as his successor, effective April 1.

Mr. Nagai currently serves as senior general manager of the General Machinery and Special Vehicle Headquarters at MHI in Sagamihara, Japan. He has been with MHI and affiliated companies since 1979 and has more than 23 years of experience in the forklift industry. Mr. Nagai is intimately familiar with MCFA, as he previously served as general manager for MCFA's manufacturing department from 2001 to 2004. He also served as an executive engineer for MHI Forklift America Inc., predecessor of MCFA, from 1988 to 1992. During his previous term at MCFA, Mr. Nagai played an integral part in developing and implementing strategies for several areas of MCFA including: business, manufacturing, production control operations, and engineering and equipment technology. Mr. Nagai earned a Master of Science in Engineering from the Graduate School of Engineering at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan.
