IPAF was exhibiting from 21 to 24 June 2011 in Bern at Suisse Public, the Swiss trade fair targeted at the public services. IPAF took the opportunity to meet and hold discussions with its Swiss members and training centres.

The IPAF Swiss Country Council (ISCC) met on the afternoon of 22 June. The topics discussed ranged from measures to improve the quality of the training programme and development of the scope of training courses, to raising standards required of IPAF instructors and the introduction of the IPAF Rental+ quality award in Switzerland. ISCC chariman Eric Hunziker, managing director of maltech.ch, also gave members an update on the activities of the ISCC.

The meeting was followed by the IPAF stand reception. Gerhard Hillebrand, IPAF-Italia, gave a welcome speech on behalf of IPAF CEO Tim Whiteman. His speech drew on anecdotes from his vast experience over almost 40 years in the Italian powered access industry, leading up to his current involvement with IPAF and the Federation's rapid international growth over the last eight years.
