2011 SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® Regional schedule released

It is that time of year again; where the Bricklayers of Summer pick up their trowels to compete to see who represents their region in the world’s biggest bricklaying competition –the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500®! With thoughts of winning that loaded FORD F-250 and a pile of cash and prizes, the winning qualifiers will head to the National held in Las Vegas in January, 2012, to compete against the best masons around and to lay claim to the title of “World’s Best Bricklayer.”

A record 16 SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 Regionals are scheduled throughout North America for 2011. The winners of these Regionals will join the 2011 National 1st place winner, and the 2011 SPEC MIX TOP CRAFTSMAN, along with select bricklayers from overseas to decide who is the “World’s Best Bricklayer.” The event will be held during the 2012 World of Concrete trade show held in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, January 24-27. Up for grabs will be the world’s largest competition prize list, including a loaded FORD F-250 4X4 with an outstanding cash and prize package valued at over $100,000.

The SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 National is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in the Gold Lot arena. The preliminary event the SPEC MIX TOUGHEST TENDER, will start at 11:30 PST, followed by the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 National scheduled to start at 12:00 Noon PST.

All SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 Regionals are sponsored and held by local sponsors. Times, dates and locations of the Regionals vary. If you would like to compete in a Regional you should know that a Regional location may represent multiple states or provinces, check with your local sponsor representative listed on the schedule as available competitor space is limited and fills quickly.
