Mortar Net® USA, Ltd., the leading producer of moisture management solutions for the masonry industry, has named Gary R. Johnson as president. Johnson succeeds Tom Sourlis, the founder, who continues as chairman of the board and the company’s principal inventor.

Sourlis is enthusiastic about the hiring, “Gary has served the company as an outside director for seven years, making him familiar with our organization, industry and growth opportunities. He next worked with multiple venture capital groups in advisory, director, and CEO capacities to envision and execute paths to commercialization for emerging technologies. Most recently he was CEO of Blue Spark Technologies, Inc. (Cleveland, Ohio). He holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and an MS degree in Industrial Administration, both from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. Johnson currently is chairman of the board of the Cleveland Institute of Art and a director of the Cleveland Council on World Affairs. Gary is a native of northwest Indiana, graduating from Horace Mann High School (Gary). He and his wife Brenda will reside in Miller Beach.
