The Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA) will present Introduction to Green Building and the International Green Construction Code on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at 10:00 AM CST.

This webinar will provide an overview of green building and how the 2012 International Green Construction Code (IGCC) fits in the alphabet soup of green codes, standards and rating systems. The development and organization of the IGCC will be reviewed, and key provisions relating to masonry products and construction will be discussed.

At the conclusion of this webinar attendees should be able to:

  • List various green building codes, standards and rating systems (the alphabet soup)
  • Understand the differences between codes, standards and rating systems
  • Understand the organization of the IGCC
  • Identify how masonry products and systems can be used as part of sustainable design strategies to meet provisions in the IGCC
Mason contractors registered for Masonry Certification will receive 1.00 credit in the Codes and Standards Discipline upon completion of this course.
