Atlas Copco has launched the FlexiROC T30 R radio remote control tophammer drill rig, equipped with either a COP 1240 or COP 1640 drill for two- to 3.5-inch holes. The standard hydraulic, carousel-type rod-handling system uses 12-foot rods. The carousel carries four rods for a maximum drilling depth of 57 feet. The FlexiROC T30 R comes with an interim Tier 4 Cummins QSB4.5 turbo-charged engine, providing improved diesel consumption over its predecessor, the ROC D3 RRC. The rig’s low center of gravity and high ground clearance provide mobility over the most challenging terrain.
