Belgard congratulates Dave Swearingen of The Site Group, Inc., of New Carlisle, Ohio, for winning our Ultimate Contractor Contest. Entrants for the contest were asked to share a sales or marketing approach for an opportunity to win a $15,000 business improvement package.
Dave's winning entry presented a way for contractors to gain referrals by offering a "thank you" catered event for customers upon completion of their outdoor living project. He has gained a number of referrals by teaming up with a local barbecue house to provide gift certificates good for catering for up to 25 people. He also supplies the homeowner with logo-printed napkins and business cards to hand out to guests.
"This gives the customer a great way to celebrate and share their new outdoor space with friends," says Dave.
