NCCER announces 2016 Board of Trustees

Trustees consists of representatives from contractors, owners and partner associations

NCCER has elected Ed Cassady, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Robins & Morton in Birmingham, Alabama, as its 2016 board of trustees' chairman. Cassady will succeed Jerry Rispone, president and CEO for ISC Constructors, LLC of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who remains a member of the executive committee. Chip Reid, CEO of Current Builders, will serve as the 2016 vice chairman.

Other members of the executive committee for the 2016 board of trustees include C. Rockwell Turner, president of LPR Construction, as secretary and Vincent Giardina, trustee for the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust, as treasurer.

NCCER's board of trustees consists of representatives from contractors, owners and partner associations. All trustees are recognized for their expertise in construction or construction-related issues and serve one- to three-year terms. Beginning this year, three seats on the board have been designated specifically for education. This inclusion will help NCCER continue to strengthen its alignment with education.

Additional 2016 board of trustees members include: Michael Bennett, vice president, Cianbro Companies; Michael Brueggemann, vice president and district manager, TIC - The Industrial Company; David Chapin, president, Willmar Electric Service; Eddie Clayton, contracting and workforce development strategies manager, The Southern Company; Dr. Philip Cleveland, deputy state superintendent of education, Alabama State Department of Education's Office of Career and Technical Education/Workforce Development; Jeff Davis, chairman and CEO, Furmanite Corporation; Tim Dick, general manager of reliability, engineering, maintenance, projects and turnarounds, Shell Downstream, Inc.; David Donnelly, senior vice president of construction, CB&I; Andy Dupuy, president and CEO, Brown & Root; Jim Hanna, vice president of human resources, construction, fabrication and craft services, Fluor; Michael Hollingshaus, senior manager of maintenance and turnarounds, Tesoro Corporation; Dr. R. Raymond Issa, Holland professor and director of the Center for Advanced Construction Information Modeling, University of Florida's M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management; Matt Lawrence, mechanical manager, ExxonMobil; Timothy W.
