Provider: Informa
Discipline: Ethics & Business Practices
Credits: 1.50
This seminar will outline the benefits of holding and attending a Pre-Slab (Pre-Pour) meeting, as well as what should be discussed and who should attend. The importance of an appropriate meeting agenda and its timing will be discussed, as well as how to use it for the final meeting minutes. Many problems that have occurred on past slabs could have been avoided by an appropriate meeting. Pre-Slab meetings often are not held and most of them are not nearly as thorough and properly attended as they should be.
1. Determine the purpose of planning and discussing means and methods of concrete slabs in a Pre-Slab meeting
2. Explain the timing and process of conducting the meeting so that all attendees knows what is required of them
3. Identify the appropriate attendees to be invited and the topics that should be covered in the meeting
4. Develop an appropriate meeting agenda to be sent out well before the meeting so that everyone will be prepared
