The first step in addressing the onslaught of wage and hour claims is to understand the federal law behind those claims. The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) has seen increasing attention from plaintiffs’ attorneys and from the federal government in recent years. We will explain, in a two-part discussion, some of the more common issues that arise in FLSA claims. Our first program will include discussion of:
