MAC PAC

The purpose of MAC PAC is to help elect federal candidates to office who are pro-construction and who will give the MCAA and the masonry industry a fair hearing on industry views.
Federal laws and regulations have a direct impact on you and your business. And because it is illegal for corporations or State Chapter PACs to directly contribute to federal candidates or to political parties, MAC PAC allows you the opportunity to have a national impact on federal elections. This is possible by pooling our resources and dealing from a position of collective strength.
If you would like to voluntarily contribute to MAC PAC, please download the form below or donate online:
MAC PAC may only solicit our "restricted class". The restricted class includes non-corporate members such as individuals and partnerships.
The PAC can also solicit the restrict class of our member companies. This means executive and administrative personnel, stockholders and the families of both groups. This solicitation is a two step process. First MAC PAC must obtain the primary contact for the corporate member's written approval for solicitation; second, the association or corporate member may then conduct the solicitation.

- In-person candidate interviews
- Candidate Questionnaires
- Variable Race Factors
A candidate's political party affiliation is NOT a criterion for support.
MAC PAC contributions to candidates vary in dollar amount depending upon all of the determining factors mentioned above.
MAC PAC will never support more than one candidate in a race!
PAC contributors and chapters are not only asked but encouraged to deliver the MAC PAC checks directly to the candidates in the district.
Participation in MAC PAC is strictly voluntary!
MAC PAC is registered with the Federal Election Commission and files reports of all receipts and candidate contributions. These reports become part of the public record at the FEC.
A: The Federal Election Commission (FEC) requires that a trade association such as MCAA must receive written permission to send political information to a member company's executive and administrative personnel, stockholders and the families of both groups.
Q: Who can sign the MAC PAC authorization form?
A: MAC PAC must obtain the signature of an individual in that company - usually the President, CEO or owner who is the key contact with the MCAA: The person signing the authorization may allow his or her executive and administrative personnel to be contacted or may designate only certain people from the company who should receive MAC PAC literature.
Q: Why should I sign the MAC PAC authorization form?
A: Your authorization will allow MCAA to expand its political efforts on a national level. Having a large percentage of MCAA members authorized will show Congressional leaders that our industry is strong and united in support of issues such as permanent repeal of the federal estate tax, association health plans, labor law reform, and voluntary ergonomics standards. Then we can expect real progress to begin.
Q: What happens after I sign the MAC PAC authorization form?
A: With your authorization, we can update you on the latest news from Capitol Hill, invite you to MAC PAC events, and provide you with up-to-the minute election information and analysis.
Q: Am I required to contribute money to the MAC PAC if I sign this form?
A: No. Your authorization does not obligate you to make a monetary commitment. It simply allows MCAA to inform you of upcoming political activities.
Q: What is the authorization period for this form?
A: The FEC allows an authorization approval for up to three consecutive years. It will save money, time and reduce the number of mailings, if you choose to sign for all three years.
Q: What happens to the information provided on this form?
A: The information you provide is not shared with anyone. It is kept at MCAA Headquarters and will be used only to demonstrate compliance with federal election laws.
