JLG and Hinowa Announce an Agreement for the Supply of JLG-Branded Specialty Boom Lifts

JLG to provide specialty boom lifts to the access market

JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE: OSK], and Hinowa, S.p.A. announced an agreement that will provide JLG-branded specialty boom lifts to the access market. These versatile articulated boom lifts feature a light overall vehicle weight, the ability to pass through a narrow doorway, outriggers for leveling and drive on rubber tracks. The announcement took place at SAIE in Bologna, Italy, where both JLG and Hinowa exhibited their products for the construction market.

Tim Morris, JLG global vice president, sales, marketing and customer support, explained, “We are very excited to provide this rapidly growing product to our customers. JLG selected Hinowa to produce these specialty boom lifts for us based on their product quality, innovation and technical expertise. We believe that JLG will help expand the market outside of Europe for these products as well as provide JLG’s European customers with a one-stop shop for all of their access product and aftermarket service needs.”

Dante Fracca, Hinowa president, commented, “We are proud to be selected by JLG as their supplier of JLG-branded specialty boom lifts. Hinowa remains committed to our distributor partners in Europe, which will continue to sell and service Hinowa-branded specialty boom lifts. We further believe that JLG’s global presence and brand will help grow this product’s popularity in North and South America, Asia Pacific and other developing markets.”

JLG will initially add four specialty boom lift models ranging in working height from 14m to 23m to its full line of aerial work platform equipment. JLG will market and sell these products to its network of distributors and customers and will be responsible to provide its full array of Ground Support services, including parts, repair and maintenance, training and technical support. JLG expects to have these products ready for delivery in early 2011.

Hinowa will continue to market and sell the Hinowa-branded specialty boom lifts through its distributors in Europe and will support them with parts, service, training and technical support. Hinowa remains committed to providing a wide-array of equipment utilizing tracked undercarriages, including mini-dumpers, loaders and other productivity-enhancing products.

The JLG-branded specialty boom lifts will be produced to JLG’s specifications by Hinowa. These models include working heights from 14m to 23m and will be available with gasoline, diesel or lithium-ion power.
