There is now an IPAF-approved training centre within 10 km of IPAF’s Swiss office in Basel. Kompetenzzentrum für Arbeitssicherheit AG has joined the ranks of IPAF-approved training centres, bringing the total number of centres in Switzerland to 18.

More than 1,700 PAL Cards (Powered Access Licences) were issued through IPAF’s Swiss training centres last year. The PAL Card is recognised across industries as proof that the holder has been trained to operate platforms safely and effectively. IPAF’s PAL Card operator training programme is certified by TÜV as conforming to the international standard ISO 18878.

“I was very happy to be able to personally deliver the IPAF brass plaque and IPAF operations manual to our latest training centre and wish the father and son team of Georg and Michael Wyss much success in their new venture,” said IPAF CEO Tim Whiteman.

“The IPAF training is an important part of our range of courses provided and is especially close to my heart due to my long experience in the powered access industry,” said Georg Wyss. “Our training facilities are easily accessible and backed with modern infrastructure and the latest equipment. I look forward to personally welcoming our customers in Pratteln.”
