Freedom Flashing Products Inc.’s patented Quick-Fit End Dam was selected as the best new product in the masonry category of the Most Innovative Product awards program at the 2013 World of Concrete exposition.

The Quick-Fit End Dam has a moveable web and adjustable rear leg that makes it easy to create a superior water seal, even where masons find cavity variations between inner and outer wall components. The Quick-Fit End Dam also is seamless, which enhances the durability of the window flashing.

“It is truly an honor for our young company to receive this recognition for innovation,” says Michelle Draghicchio, president of Freedom Flashing Products in Menomonee Falls, Wis. “Our focus is to develop smart, simple and seamless flashing products for the building and construction industry. Winning this award demonstrates that we are listening to masons and delivering a product that makes it easier for them to do a better job while decreasing costs.”

The Quick-Fit End Dam earned the Experts’ Choice award at the exposition, which is the industry’s largest annual event. More than 50,000 professionals attended the show, and nearly 1,300 companies exhibited, including Freedom Flashing Products.

The Most Innovative Product contest recognizes new products that promise to boost productivity, efficiency and quality in construction. Winners are selected based on votes received by show attendees, a panel of industry experts, and industry media editors.
