The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has scheduled a meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health’s Temporary Workers Workgroup. The meeting will be held July 28, 2014, in Washington, D.C.

The workgroup is meeting to continue its discussion of issues regarding protecting temporary workers and develop recommendations for NACOSH’s consideration. The issues include gaps in workplace protection for temporary workers, differences between temporary workers and contract workers, and joint responsibility of host employers and staffing agencies.

The meeting will take place 2-4 p.m. ET, Monday, July 28, in Room N-3437A at the U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20210. The meeting is open to the public.

NACOSH was established under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 to advise the secretaries of labor and health and human services on occupational safety and health programs and policies.
