Milwaukee® introduces new tape measures ideal for layout

Milwaukee Tool continues to deliver disruptive innovation to its Hand Tool line with the introduction of a new generation of tape measures, designed with the general contractor in mind. Just like its magnetic predecessors, these new tape measures deliver 10X longer life than the competition because of proprietary Nylon Bond Blade Protection, and a 5-point reinforced frame for drop protection. These are the most durable tape measures in the industry today.
"When we originally introduced Milwaukee’s lineup of tape measures in 2013, we focused on delivering innovative solutions to our mechanical, plumbing, and electrical contractors,” said Brandon Miller, Group Marketing Manager for Milwaukee Tool. “As a result of our user-focused research and success of our initial lineup of tape measures, this new series seeks to deliver innovative solutions to a wider group of users, such as general contractors and remodelers, to capture a larger segment of the market.”
Available February 2015, the next generation general contractor tape measure line will initially include (2) Tape Measures, in lengths of 16’ and 25’, followed by larger sizes and metric combination units in coming months.
The new line of tape measures will feature a wider base for more stability during layout applications. This design securely holds the tape measure in place and prevents roll off when measuring an array of materials.
In addition, the new tape measures will have a hook design that is optimized for scoring material like drywall. For added functionality, the tape measures will also include a wire form belt clip for secure storage and reduced pocket tearing.
