How to Prepare for the Affordable Care Act Plus Other Fun Stuff to Worry About webinar
Practical steps for employers to reduce the risk of penalties
The Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA) will present How to Prepare for the Affordable Care Act Plus Other Fun Stuff to Worry About on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 10:00 AM CDT.
This course provides an overview of the Affordable Care Act and the issues employers face in complying with the law and providing increasingly expensive health care solutions. Although Obamacare has received lots of media attention, many employers remain unaware of its likely requirements and costs. Some deadlines, e.g., the employer mandate, have been delayed but others have come and gone leaving employers who have not yet complied exposed to the risk of fines and penalties.
This presentation provides practical steps that employers can take to reduce the risk of penalties and lower their overall health care costs. Attendees will also get a brief overview of other "hot" topics affecting employment.
Learning Objectives:
- Engage insurance brokers or agents to design ACA-compliant program for employees
- Define ways to negotiate insurance coverage terms
- Explain ACA to employees and what their insurance choices will be
- Manage better their healthcare costs
