Collaborative Project Management from the Field to Office

Provider: Informa
Discipline: Ethics & Business Practices
Credits: 1.50

Our world as contractors is getting more complex and difficult, and we are continually asked to do more for less. On top of more demanding clients, there's a shortage of workers and increasing regulatory requirements to manage. One of the biggest obstacles we face in improving our efficiency is the requirement to collaborate and share information with GCs and owners. This session will explore the challenges and opportunities associated with collaboration from the perspective of efficiency, data ownership and risk. In doing so, we uncover and analyze root causes for these challenges and present an innovative approach to overcoming them that reimagines the role and development of technology in the world of collaborative project management.

1. Outline the challenges and implications of current project collaboration methods and practices
2. Identify root causes for the challenges we currently face with upstream collaboration
3. Explore how new technology and methodology can redefine best practice in project collaboration
4. Convert challenges into actionable concepts
