GET UP TO DATE ON 2016 PREVAILING WAGE LAW
Provider: Mason Contractors Association of California, Inc.
Join Cook Brown Partner Carrie Bushman for an overview of 2016 updates to California's prevailing wage law. She'll focus on the new ready mix hauling requirements - including the status of court challenges to these requirements; recordkeeping requirements, including eCPR; and, new skilled and trained workforce requirements which mandate the use of apprenticeship program graduates on certain jobs. Also hear about the new law requiring contractors to pay apprentices for pre-employment processes effective January 1, 2017. Carrie is the MCAC go-to expert on prevailing wage issues and has helped clarify when the ready-mix hauler rules apply – at GC award date or sub award date and on federal jobs. This session will include a Q&A segment where you can ask about particular prevailing wage issues you are facing.
