How to Turn Inefficiency to Profitability

Provider: Informa
Discipline: Ethics & Business Practices
Credits: 3.00

This seminar "calls out" the poor preparation that is found in most construction companies for starting a project, keeping that project profitable during jobsite execution and insuring that the "close-out" is not a "profit dump" due to poor decisions and execution. The heavy emphasis in this workshop is to provide tools and techniques to prepare for each project, no matter the size, giving the crew a fighting chance to win. Then, important communication tools and techniques that project and field leaders can quickly adapt to using that will make every phase of their project seamless, safe and quality based. Project and field leaders will be challenged to step up their game also in bringing a strategic closure to their project, on that leaves the finished work meeting their customer's needs and expectations, while also building a "raving fan" like relationship with their client, laying the seed for more work.

1. Outline pre-start strategies that clearly line out scope of work, roles and responsibilities, needed tools and equipment
2. Identify project goals that must be set for every project and how to monitor and measure the goals
3. Define communication responsibilities for every project member
4. Demonstrate pre-close strategies that profits the contractor by preventing end of the job costly mistakes
