It is common knowledge that a properly struck joint provides both weather protection as well as aesthetic appeal, but why are there so many types of joints, and so many different tools to apply them? There are over a dozen different style tools to create just a common concave joint. This session discusses some of the history, terminology, advantages, and benefits of the different joints and the tools used to create each style.
